Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, tolerances, inspection methods, packaging, storage and transportation conditions for fresh mandarin fruits. This standard applies to the grading, packaging and inspection of fresh mandarin fruits such as Satsuma mandarin, Ponkan (Lugan), Red tangerine, Tankan, Bendizao, Nanfeng mandarin, Shatang mandarin, Manju, Early mandarin, and orange-tangerine hybrids, orange-pomelo hybrids, etc.

Fruits shall be intact, sound, free from injury or excessive healed wounds; free from decay or deterioration; clean, essentially free from visible foreign matter; essentially free from wilting, puffiness, or water loss; free from pests or pesticide damage; surface dry, except for condensation after cold storage; free from abnormal odor or taste.
Fruits shall be fully developed, with maturity suitable for market or storage and transportation requirements, and carefully harvested.
Juice content, soluble solids, and solid-acid ratio shall comply with the provisions of Table 1.
