Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for diagnosis of avian reticuloendotheliosis. It includes two aspects: detection of specific serum antibodies against avian reticuloendotheliosis virus (REV); detection of infectious REV in pathological materials and biological products. This standard is applicable to: detection of REV-specific antibodies to determine whether poultry populations (farms) or individuals have been infected with REV; particularly suitable for batch sampling inspection of whether REV infection exists in SPF chicken farms; detection of whether infectious REV exists in pathological materials of suspected sick poultry or certain attenuated vaccines.
