Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the hydrosolubility of chemical products for industrial use (hereinafter referred to as products) using the flask method. This standard is applicable to essentially pure substances that are stable in water and have high solubility (greater than 101 g/L). This standard is not applicable to impure products (e.g., certain surfactants), unstable products, and products that are unstable in water; the presence of impurities in the test substance will greatly affect the determination result of the hydrosolubility of the substance; it is also not applicable to essentially pure substances that are stable in water but have low solubility (less than 101 g/L).
