Scope
This standard specifies the procedures, techniques, and methods for quarantine authorities to implement quarantine of plants imported from abroad at plant quarantine isolation facilities. This standard applies to the quarantine of the following imported plants: 1.1 Plants introduced for the first time; 1.2 Host plants from countries or regions where quarantine pests occur; 1.3 Plants that, according to risk analysis reports, may carry dangerous pests and should be quarantined; 1.4 Host plants that have been found with suspicious pests at the time of introduction or are host plants of new pests in the introduction area; 1.5 Plants on the national list of prohibited imports under current quarantine regulations, which are permitted for import due to special needs after quarantine approval; 1.6 Other imported plants that quarantine authorities consider need quarantine.
