This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and shelf life of laundry bar soap. This standard applies to block and bar laundry soaps produced by processes such as slab cooling, vacuum cooling extrusion, and milling, with sodium fatty acid salt as the main component. It does not apply to products containing other surfactants or medicated products.
