This standard provides quality grading for marine gearboxes, classifying products into three grades: qualified, first-class, and superior. It specifies detailed quality indicators including sealing, oil pump suction time, reversing time, oil temperature, gear contact pattern, no-load power loss rate, cleanliness, clutch drag torque, coupling runout, reliability assessment, and packaging appearance. Corresponding test methods and inspection rules are provided, including sampling plans and acceptable quality levels. The standard applies to marine gearboxes with multi-plate wet friction clutches and cylindrical gear transmissions, and may be referenced for other types.
