The flatness tolerance of the straightedge working surface and the straightness tolerance of any 200 mm are specified in Table 1.
The working surface of the straightedge using scraping process shall be inspected by color matching and lapping.
The straightedge shall be made of high-quality fine gray cast iron or alloy cast iron, and the hardness of its working surface and side surface shall be 170~220 HB.
After 40,000 wear resistance life tests on the cast iron straightedge, the straightness of its working surface shall comply with the provisions of Table 1.
