Scope
This standard specifies the quality grades, test and inspection methods, and sampling and evaluation methods for explosion-proof fan products. This standard applies to centrifugal and axial flow explosion-proof fan products for ventilation and air exchange as specified in JB 8523-1997 "Explosion-proof Fans - Technical Conditions" (hereinafter referred to as fans).

Fan products shall be designed and manufactured in accordance with JB 8523, and are divided into three grades: qualified product, first-class product, and premium product based on their quality level.

To evaluate the product quality grade of a fan, it must meet the technical requirements of all assessment items for that grade to be rated as that grade.
