Scope
This standard specifies the quality assessment items, assessment indicators, test methods and grade evaluation for steam pumps. This standard is applicable to general steam reciprocating pumps (referred to as steam pumps) for conveying clean water and petroleum or other liquids with similar physical and chemical properties, with a temperature not higher than 110°C and a kinematic viscosity not exceeding 850 mm²/s. This standard is also applicable to steam reciprocating hot oil pumps (referred to as hot oil pumps) for conveying petroleum products with a temperature not higher than 400°C and liquefied gas pumps with a conveying temperature not lower than –40°C.

According to the comprehensive quality of the pump, it is divided into three grades: qualified product, first-class product and superior product.
On the premise that the pump meets the requirements of GB/T 14794 and the drawings, its quality grade indicators must comply with the provisions of Table 1 and Table 2.
When the pump is subjected to sampling inspection, if all quality indicators of the tested pump fully meet the requirements of a certain grade (qualified, first-class, or superior) in this standard, the batch of pumps can be evaluated as that grade; otherwise, it is evaluated according to the lowest grade achieved by any one indicator.
The performance test and noise measurement of the pump shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of GB/T 14794.
