Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, commissioning, startup and acceptance, operation and maintenance, nameplates, marks, packaging, transport and storage of coal-fired flue gas calcium carbide slag-gypsum wet desulfurization equipment. This standard applies to wet desulfurization projects for new, expanded or retrofitted coal-fired thermal power generating units with a unit capacity of 1000 MW and below, where the absorption tower is a spray tower, liquid column tower or other empty tower structure; it does not apply to packed towers, bubbling towers, grid towers, or projects where calcium carbide slag is directly fed into a circulating fluidized bed for in-furnace desulfurization.
